 Where Craft Beer Meets Craft Color

Join us at Southern Hops Brewing Company for Hops & Hues, a hands-on ice dye experience that celebrates two crafts built on creativity, experimentation, and patience taught by LONG STRANGE DRIPS BY JAM.

Just like brewing great beer, ice dyeing is a process. You carefully select your ingredients, trust the chemistry, and wait for time to work its magic. No two batches of beer are exactly alike—and no two ice-dyed shirts are either.

Over two sessions, you’ll learn the art of folding, tying, and ice dyeing your own shirt while enjoying a craft beer in the brewery. Then, after a full 24-hour batching period, you’ll return the next day to wash out and reveal the incredible colors and patterns created by melting ice and fiber-reactive dyes.

Day 1: Tie & Dye

Grab a Craft Beer Introduction to ice dyeing Folding and tying techniques Dye selection and color placement Ice application Leave your shirt to batch overnight

Day 2: Washout & Reveal

Learn proper washout techniques Remove ties and unfold your creation Reveal your unique design to the class Learn Care instructions to keep colors vibrant
