Owned and operated by James Deaton , Christian Gibson and Randy Deaton, is the culmination of years of restaurant experience and a dream to bring "handcrafted beer, great food and quality service" to the people of Florence, S.C..
James Deaton, craft brewer for SHBC, is a graduate of The American Brewers Guild of Salisbury, Vermont. The primary brews that will be offered are crisp golden ale with a hint of hops, and smooth nut brown ale, followed by various seasonal brews. One specialty brew will include our own hops grown in Timmonsville, S.C.
Christian Gibson, general manager for SHBC, will oversee front of the house operations and manage all Bar operations. Customer service and a quality experience is the core of Christians focus at Southern Hops.
Randy Deaton, general manager for SHBC, Controls quality and consistancy from the kitchen while maintaining front of the house operations with Christian. An eclectic pub menu with a southern flair served with Southern Hospitality is Randy's main agenda here at SHBC.
